The Tiger Cubs® Program is designed for children who are four or five years old, and is intended to be an introductory and preparatory program for regular TaeKwonDo classes. Many children in this age group are not yet capable of developing the physical abilities, social skills and emotional maturity to be successful in a regular junior TaeKwonDo class, but desire to be involved in TaeKwonDo.

The TaeKwonDo Plus Tiger Cubs program has been developed especially to meet this need. The Tiger Cubs classes are thirty minutes in length and are structured to provide the environment, instruction, and activities to develop these characteristics:
By demonstrating these characteristics, the child meets the requirements for graduation into the regular Junior TaeKwonDo Program.
TaeKwonDo (foot-hand-art) is a beautiful expression of artistic movement. Through it's practice, students discover many qualities about themselves. Through this honest and pure art form, students identify their strengths and shortcomings and mature as responsible people. TaeKwonDo is the most effective method of unarmed self-defense, an intricate art, an exciting life sport, and a superior method of maintaining physical and mental fitness. The roots of this art date back hundreds of years to Tae Kyon in Korea. Today it has evolved to an international art through the efforts of the founders, General Choi and Dr. He-Young Kimm. Ho-am is our style of martial arts and Taekwondo. Ho-am means "tiger rock".
International
The International Taekwondo Alliance is the nation's premier martial arts training organization featuring a nationally certified teaching program with nationally certified ranks. The ITA is dedicated to the teaching, development, and promotion of the art of Chang-Hun style Taekwondo. The ITA has the first documented teaching curriculum, teaching methods and certification standards. The Senior Executive Directors and Founders of the ITA are Grand Masters Craig Kollars, Bert Kollars and Art Monroe. Grand Master Bailey is also an Executive Director of the ITA.
What is TaeKwonDo Plus?
The Plus refers to the fact that more than just TaeKwonDo is taught in ITA training centers. Confidence building, every day self-defence techniques, responsibility and respect are integral parts of each training session at TaeKwonDo Plus training centers. Regular attendance and participation in this structured environment results in a feeling of well-being and personal satisfaction not found in other karate programs. Find out today how this Plus can add to your life!
Fitness and Self-Defense
Students, in addition to learning a highly formidable means of self-defense, will also work toward an incredible physical fitness. Each student is encouraged to improve personal strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination, all in a fun and exciting format designed to minimize risk of injury. As a means of achieving total physical fitness, controlling weight, or just adding an exciting new dimension to your life, training at Taekwondo Plus can give you a safe, professional environment for setting and achieving your goals.
A Positive Atmosphere
A positive atmosphere and high energy level in our classes and activities are a key to our success. Class atmosphere is FIRM but supercharged with positive energy and our students like it that way. Students are taught to keep their minds calm and controlled throughout the sometimes rigorous training sessions. A student’s self-image is developed by instructors reinforcing positive behaviors. Students are taught to move with grace and confidence which also build positive image.
In each class conducted at ITA schools and meetings, students and instructors affirm the following tenets:
HONOR
The nobility of mind and maintenance of one's personal dignity in the face of adversity. Honor is the gift you give yourself.
COURTESY
Thoughtfulness and consideration of others, humility, civility, and politeness.
INTEGRITY
The uncompromising adherence to a code of moral values and principles. It requires soundness of ethical strength.
PERSEVERANCE
Steadfast pursuit of one's goals. It is the quality of never giving up in the face of challenge.
SELF-CONTROL
Restraint of one's emotions and reactions. Control comes from within rather than from outside forces.
COURAGE
The spirit which enables one to face danger with self-possession, confidence, and resolution. Courage consists of a reserve of moral strength on which one may draw in time of emergency. A courageous person will not tolerate injustice.
COMMUNITY
The responsibility to contribute to society regardless of one's position in life. Civic accountability requires us to do our share and to be part of the solution of society's problems. Remember: Every right implies a responsibility; every opportunity an obligation; every possession a duty.
Strength
The ability to withstand pressure, both physically and mentally. Only when standing up for what is right does one know their full strength.
Humility
The quality of being respectful and modest. A true martial artist knows that to show humility is to show their inner core character.
Knowledge
The wellspring of facts, truths, and information from which one operates. Knowledge is continuously collected throughout our lifetime and imparted generously with others.
Bailey's TaeKwonDo & Grappling will perform a free demonstration for any interested group! Lasting between 5 and 30 minutes, demonstrations consist of three parts and are accompanied by easy-to-follow literature.
Part One: Safety Awareness
For presentations in front of children, a review of safety tips is given which will help children live risk-free in an increasingly violent world. Through role playing, children are shown the use of survival code words, who to trust, and who not to trust.
Part Two: Tenets of TaeKwonDo
The Tenets of TaeKwonDo are presented and defined in language easily understood by the group.
Part Three: TaeKwonDo Presentation
The third part is a demonstration of TaeKwonDo techniques and art forms. At the conclusion of this demonstration, the group is reminded that only persons trained in TaeKwonDo should attempt these techniques to avoid injury to themselves. Jump Spin Kick Demo
